C&M at a glance ........ C&M Consulting Engineers are based in Pretoria, South Africa and have been in existence since 1988. We specialize in the measurement of air pollutants, both at the source (emission measurements and continuous emission monitoring or CEM) and at ambient air quality levels (ambient air quality monitoring or AQM). The business consists basically of three activities, namely (a) the supply, installation, servicing and calibration of monitoring and ancillary equipment (CEM, AQM, meteorology and data acquisition equipment). (b) particulate and gaseous emission sampling services in accordance with accepted national and international standards (e.g. USEPA, British Standards, ISO, NIOSH, OSHA, etc.) both at source and ambient concentration levels. (c) general consulting services which include, inter alia, dispersion modelling, developing design information and selection of gas cleaning equipment, training in sampling methods, data reduction, validation and reporting. Our mission is to provide our clients with fast, efficient and professional service in solving air pollution problems encountered in their unique situations. We aim to provide complete solutions relating to air pollution problems. C&M Consulting Engineers play a role in the National Association of Clean Air (NACA) through active participation and contributions in regional and national conferences. C&M has ties with the Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA) in the USA and regularly attend the annual international conference of the Association. Our managing director, Chris Albertyn, has served as the President of the South African Institution of Chemical Engineers (SAIChE) and continues to play a role in the management of the Institution. C&M Consulting Engineers have been growing steadily from humble beginnings to a respected role player and leader in the market. We pride ourselves in customer satisfaction and have a long list of customers who have also become our friends. C&M is managed by a team of dedicated employees of the closed corporation. The founding member is Chris Albertyn, who is well known in the fields of air pollution and chemical engineering. For his sins he is also the webmaster of this site.
